Yasuni protest arrived at the Constitutional Court
Yesterday, the Frente de Defensa de la Amazonía carried out in Quito, in front of the Constitutional Court, a demonstration where they presented a new question for the referendum.
The spokesman of this group, David Iniguez, believed that the question posed by Julio Cesar Trujillo, on behalf of several social organizations, is not complete because it only takes into account Yasuni, as they propose to prevent any activity whose purpose is the extraction.
The demonstration was guarded by riot troops and national police officers who were responsible for preserving safety.
Meanwhile, a group of inhabitants of Amazonian sectors belonging to the Yasuni National Park, transported in six buses, arrived to Quito, to support responsible exploitation of their habitat.
They have a proposal to deliver directly to the President of the Republic in which they condition their support to the attention of health, education and the development of their communities.
Protesters arrived to support several mayors, prefects and parish Presidents of the East, who are in agreement with the responsible extraction and are in Quito since this morning to express their position.
