YASunidos hope to collect signatures in one week for further review

firmas-yasunidos-On April 12 will conclude the official deadline so that the collective YASunidos delivers the forms with signatures to the CNE, in order to achieve that block 43 of Yasuní, known as ITT would not be intervened. As April 12 is Saturday, activists have announced that they will do it on April 11.
 
This group, which requested to the National Electoral Council (CNE) a popular consultation, has as a goal to finish the recolection to verify the signatures collected.
 
The code of democracy gave 180 days to present 600,000 signatures. They are missing around 120,000, said one of the spokesmen for the collective, Patricio Chávez.
 
He says that they will collect them until Monday, April 7, i.e. exactly one week, to then begin a process of review and internal count, which will conlcude with the deliver of the signatures to the Electoral Council.
 
The Constitutionalist Julio Cesar Trujillo, who advises YASunidos in the legal area, reiterated last week he was suspicious of the work of the CNE. He warned that several signatures would be disqualified .Thats why he stated the need to add some 900,000 signatures because of the prospect that 30% could be invalidated.
