Yellow Night: Barcelona enjoyed a memorable party
Last night, Barcelona Sporting Club held its first “Yellow Night”, where they presented its 2013 team, among other surprises.
Music, fireworks and lasers were the prelude of the game BSC played against Deportivo Cali, which ended in scoreless tie. The coaching staff was presented first where trainer Gustavo Costas, received a standing ovation from 30,000 spectators who attended the Monumental Stadium. Then the players started come out, one by one. The first was the goalkeeper Maximo Banguera, however the loudest screams and applause were dedicated to midfielder Damian Diaz. Matias Oyola, The ‘Pony’ was the one that came out with the trophy they won after 14 years.
Nicolas Olmedo, Argentine reinforcement, also received a warm reception. Strikers Gonzalo Castillejos and Ariel Nahuelpan, the last hired for the yellows, were welcomed in a very special way.
This year, the team considered “the idol of Ecuador” should be prepared to win his second consecutive cup, plus the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana.
