Young Entrepreneurs participate in local fair

In an atmosphere of music and color was held the morning and afternoon of Thursday, November 16, 2017, in Plaza Foch, in Quito, the Integrarte Fair. Around 100 young people showed to the citizenship their ventures among which there were exhibitions of healthy food, robotics, bicycle couriers, tattoos, handicrafts and young artists.
The fair aims to integrate young entrepreneurs, environmentalists and animalists, in addition to creating a space for people who practice urban art, thus promoting social inclusion synergistically and promoting rights through artistic elements as part of of an entertaining and informative day.
Fátima Bonilla, coordinator of youth and volunteers of the Municipality of Quito, indicates that these spaces are created with the objective of showing the youth entrepreneurship to the citizens. “Trainings are conducted for four months in the creation of innovation and creativity projects so that young people can develop their skills and present them through these fairs,” she said.
With these activities, young people can promote their ventures and through creativity they can elaborate their products and generate their own income.
Alejandra Barahona is a young entrepreneur of 17 years, as a result of the training, created together with her colleagues a different way of eating chochos, makes empanadas of this product that has been very popular at the fair. “It is a nutritious enterprise that emerged at school, they taught us the nutritional properties that help our health”. In the future, she wants to create new ventures for the benefit of citizens.
The Fair will take place on Thursday 16 and Friday 17 November from 10:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the Plaza Foch. (I)
