Z-Machines, a band of robots, considered the “music of the future”

Z-Machines
An electronic music band made up by three robots, called Z-Machines, made its first public concert at the event hall Yonetsuka Liquid Room in Tokyo, before hundreds of spectators.
Referred as “the music of the future”, behind this initiative are Yoichiro Kawaguchi, a professor of computer science at the University of Tokyo, and the artist Naofumi Yonetsuka, specialized in mechanical creations. Furthermore, it’s funded and sponsored by a famous brand of an alcoholic beverage.
Yonetsuka is the “father” of the guitarist and drummer Androids; the last one is capable of playing with its six arms 22 different percussion points, equivalent to four people playing the instrument simultaneously. Meanwhile, the guitarist, Mach, has 78 fingers and holds 12 picks.
