Zelaya Returned to Honduras After Two Years of Exile
Posted On 29 May 2011
Former Honduran President Manuel Zelaya was hailed as a hero in his country, after being overthrown in a coup d’etat almost two years ago.
Zelaya returned with his wife and other family members, carrying a big political capital with which he aims to regain power in a poor country that is ready to return to the Organization of American States (OAS) on Wednesday, a critical step in order to receive loans and foreign aid.
Among his plans there is the one to turn to FNRP in a political party to contest in elections 2013.
According to a consultant Zelaya, is scheduled on Sunday to give interviews to media and then leave to Olancho (east), where he has a farm property in order to rest.
