127 migrants from Ecuador, disappeared on their way to the US

Twenty one bureaucratic processes for the repatriation of corpses were carried out by the Foreign Ministry through the Secretariat of the Migrant Ecuadorian Community in the last two months. These are the cases of Ecuadoreans killed in the US-Mexico border, according to Humberto Cordero, undersecretary.
He said that between 2010 and 2015, 102 bodies of nine Ecuadorians were repatriated to their residence countries. But the number of those bodies found in the US border is still unknown. It was only indicated that 112 Ecuadorians reported missing among living and dead were located at that time.
Lamb declined to reveal the identity of those repatriated and their families, to avoid victimizing them again, since their deaths occurred while traveling with human trafficking bands, and that is a crime. He assured that the families receive psychological and social assistance and permanent information.
This undersecretary has a list of 127 missing persons from Azuay, Canar and Morona Santiago, who were in an irregular transit to the US between 2009 and 2015, but it is still needed to update the reports of 2016.
