4 days until candidates’ closing date of registration

Next Thursday is the deadline for political movements and parties to register their candidates for next year’s elections to be held in February 17, according to the agenda prepared by the National Electoral Council (CNE for its Spanish acronym).

The list of presidential candidates for the elections of February 2013 and its National Assembly candidates is almost defined, and as is typical in Ecuador, the ballot of candidates reflects the political fragmentation of the country:
