Russia Proposes Japanese population To Move To Siberia

Vladimir Zhirinovsky, vice chairman of Duma (Russia’s lower house) and head of the Liberal Democrat party LDPR, proposed on Sunday to Japan and its population to move to the unoccupied spaces of Russia .

“After the recent events in Japan, the parliamentary LDPR Russian government intends to propose to the Japanese to begin consultations on the issue of moving (their) people to the Russian territory,” said Zhirinovsky. “This is a threat of disappearance of the Japanese nation in the near future,” said Zhirinovsky. “We have a lot of space, we can give employment to brains and arms, particularly to Japanese people,” he added.

“For us it is not about sharing islands, we propose to avoid a humanitarian catastrophe. Go there where there is room, build, install yourselves, you won’t bother, and Russia has everything to gain by receiving hard-working people,” said Zhirinovsky .

The dispute over the Southern Kuriles, four islands located in the north of Japan, annexed by the USSR in 1945 has prevented the two countries to sign a peace treaty.
