Romney celebrates victory in Nevada

The Republican candidate Mitt Romney is the leader of the elections after a huge victory in Nevada. Now Romney has his sight set in the electoral assemblies in another three states to consolidate his growing popularity to avoid that the president Barack Obama has a second presidential period.

Newt Gingrich, the former president of the Chamber of Representatives and main opponent of Romney ended in second place. The candidate promised to remain in the election race until August finals in Florida.

Romney won the first place with the 48% of the votes in his favor followed by Gingrich with the 23%, the Texan legislator Ron Paul with 19%, and the former senator of Pennsylvania Rick Santorum with 11%.

During his victory speech Romney talked about the poor administration of Barack Obama and the vulnerable economy of the United States. The next elections are scheduled for February 7 in Colorado and Minnesota. (AV)
