Lady Gaga at her arrival to Harvard University

Causing a stir among the students of Harvard University, the pop singer, Lady Gaga, on Wednesday officially launched her Foundation “Born This Way“.

In a joint effort with her mother Cynthia Germanotta, this partnership seeks to address issues such as self confidence, welfare, harassment, mentoring and career development through research, education and support.

“We believe that everyone has the right to feel safe, have power and make a difference in the world. Together, we will move towards acceptance, courage and love,” Gaga said.

The interpreter explained that she would like to convey all these good deeds and values she learned through her mother: “My mother really inspires me because she always talks about giving back, giving something in return, and that is very important in my life … nuclear family means many things and it can be anywhere.”

Gaga has partnered with the John D. & Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, The California Endowment and the Harvard Berkman Center to explore the best ways to create a culture of kindness, courage, acceptance, and strength. (FL)
