One day before a deadline for Syria to withdraw its forces from cities across country, the violence instead of ending it has spread alter reaching across the border into Turkey.

Seventy-five people died in Syria on Monday, according to the Local Coordination Committees of Syria, a network opposition group of activists. The mounting deaths and a government demand to rebels diminish the hopes that the regime fulfils the pledge to remove its troops.

Last Sunday, Syria stated that it had never agreed to a unilateral pullout. The Human Rights Watch informed that Syrian forces executed at least 101 civilians during recent attacks.

The executions included defecting soldiers, opposition fighters and opposition supporters, as well as civilians who appeared to have had no part in the confrontations. (AV)
