Judge Paredes Rejects Alleged Evidence Against Him

Judge Juan Paredes and his Attorney Alejandro Chica Rejected the Alleged Evidence Presented by Former Judge Monica Encalada

Judge Juan Paredes believes that his accuser, the former judge Monica Encalada, appears today as a victim of an absent persecution.

In a lengthy letter to El Universo Newspaper, Paredes referred to the videos recorded by the former Judge Monica Encalada, which were presented on February 14 and April 20 this year. In the first video she says she made her facts statement on paper, while in the second video Paredes would appear talking about the sentence.

“I reject the alleged evidence (not practiced with competent authorities) that have been presented by Monica Encalada. It is a simple montage” said temprary judge Juan Paredes.

Referring to the video recorded by Encalada, Paredes argues that the alleged evidence “has not been requested, presented and practiced in accordance with our legal system, violating my right to contradict.” (ARL)
