Shakira and De la Rua could go to court

The Argentinean, Antonio De la Rua, former boyfriend of the Colombian singer Shakira, filed a $ 250 million lawsuit against the famous singer with concept of “economic compensation for contracts that were pending when they ended their relation.”

E! News reported that De la Rua would be claiming 18% of the profits from Shakira, primarily for his role in the negotiations between her and Live Nation, the producer of the largest events in the world, for a contract of almost $ 100 million.

Abel Torrado, one of the singer’s attorneys said that there are prenuptial documents signed in which they renounced to claim any of the acquired assets, labor remuneration and any profits before, during and after their marriage that shaped society. In this way the claims of the Argentinean would be invalid and therefore the artist is not obliged to give more money to De la Rua. AV
