Clark Kent Resigned from Daily Planet after 74 years of Service

In the upcoming issue of the relaunched DC Comics, the New 52, we find a much younger Clark Kent. This renewed Superman has decided to quit the iconic newspaper ‘Daily Planet’ after getting tired of the tabloid approach of the newspaper.

Kent have ceased working for the Daily Planet, but, in this occasion, his resignation “reflects present-day issues – the balance of journalism vs. entertainment, the role of new media, the rise of the citizen journalist…”

According to the press release published by DC Comics editorial, the decision of Superman was taken solely for moral motives. Kent made the announcement in front of the whole editorial department and criticizes his director Perry White; he also denounced Lois Lane, who apparently was covering a sex scandal.

This change throws Clark Kent/ Superman into a new path that will challenge him personally and professionally. AV
