“Los Corvets”, Iconic music band from Guayaquil, performed its farewell concert.

About two thousand people attended the free outdoor show organized in tribute of recently deceased Roberto Vallarino, who along with his brother Alberto (+) led this band, indisputable role model of the city of Guayaquil during the 60s and early 70s.

From a distance people could see a banner of Roberto Vallarino with his characteristic shawl wrapped on his head, which he used to wear  in his performances.

After 21:00, the band Mono Angeles opened the event with the song “Popotitos”. The TV presenter, Polo Baquerizo, read a review  wrtitten by Roberto, in which he talks about the group’s initial dreams, their friendship, illusions and the changes they had to made in order to maintain the quality of the band.

A member of Los Corvets, put the shawl of the late musician on one of the instruments, wanting to keep  the artist present during the show.

Around 22:00 The Corvets started their concert, where they performed hits from the 60s and 70s, such as “Voy a pintar las paredes con tu nombre mi amor”, “Que seas feliz”, “Soy un mamarracho”, “La lluvia caerá”, “¡Oye como va!”, “Puerto Montt”, and many others.

Young children and adults made this concert a party where not only they recalled the themes of “those days”, but also sang along and danced.
