TRI defeats Peru by 2-1 and looks forward to classify

Last night, Ecuadorian soccer team (sub-20) beat Peru by 2-1, closing its participation in this first stage, and keeping the possibility of qualifying for the final round of the South American Cup which takes place in San Juan (Argentina).
Peruvian team took advantage at minute 65 with a penalty kicked by Jean Deza. However, at minute 79, Ely Esterilla Castro achieved the first goal for Ecuador, tying the match. Four minutes later (83m), José Cevallos made Ecuador’s second goal, ensuring the victory of the team led by Julio Cesar Rosero.
With this victory, Ecuador sums five points on the scoreboard of group B (two ties and one defeat). In the other hand, Peru is in fourth place and must risk it all to continue in the championship in the final game against Brazil.
On Friday 18, at the Bicentenario stadium, in defining date with Ecuador as free team, Venezuela will face Uruguay, and Brazil will play against Peru, to determine the three places available for the final round of the tournament.
