Abraham Lincoln’s Life on the history of film

The Lincoln biopic is among the favorites for the Oscar Academy Awards with twelve nominations.

As known, historical  and biographical films have become one of the most lucrative and successful in the world of cinema.

This year will premiere the biography film of Alfred Hitchcock and Abraham Lincoln. This last one, which is directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Daniel Day-Lewis, chronicles the political life of the sixteenth president of the United States during his tenure, focusing on the conflict at that time to achieve the emancipation of Afro-American people during the Civil War.

Being Lincoln one of most admired presidents in the history of the United States, his figure and his political career has been repeatedly brought to cinema. From short and silent film comedies of Laurel and Hardy, to the small rebel Tape (1935). Even he  was turned into a vampire hunter by director Timur Bekmambetov, and fought against zombies, by Richard Schenkman.

The film opens in theaters today in Ecuador.
