Success of Forever Tango in Quito
The show Forever Tango charmed the public with its two performances at the National Theatre of the Ecuadorian Culture House (Quito) last Saturday.
The nostalgic sound of the bandoneón, accompanied by an 8 musician’s orchestra, a singer, and five pairs of dancers captivated Quito’s public for two hours.
Luis Bravo’s musical fusion, director of the show, enabled the public to admire the Uruguayan folklore with its famous candombe. When the time to dance tango came, two screens located on the left and right sides of the stage emphasized the perfect choreography’s synchronization.
The public showed its enthusiasm with sonorous applauses while seeing the aerial suspensions of the dancers on their partners.
The show Forever Tango (Tango por siempre) was played in Broadway in 1997. After its opening in Ecuador it will be staged in various countries of South America (Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Colombia), Central America (Nicaragua, Costa Rica, México), and Europe (Turkey, Greece).
