Ryan Giggs: a red legend
The world has continued to change daily since that March 2, 1991, except for one detail: Ryan Giggs, still wears his red shirt every weekend. With today’s match of Champions League, he reaches 1,000 official matches

Ryan Giggs, Leyenda del Manchester United
The Welshman has made a pact with the red devils and, at 39 years, has the same enthusiasm and excitement than any soccer rookie. And anyone thinks that his end is near. Ryan Giggs has just renewed his contract with the Manchester United until June of 2014.
Furthermore, he equaled Raul Gonzalez as the player who has more games (144) in the history of the European Cup.
Giggs has played 931 matches and scored 168 goals as a United player (The rest as a player of wales national team). He is a symbol of Sir Alex Ferguson’s team, and has played in three Champions League finals and won two, one of which, in 2008, with a goal in a sudden death shootout.
The generations that have seen him play will remember him as an arrow on the left wing, with the number 11 stamped in his back.
