Exemplary women with warrior vocation

Today, on International Women’s Day, well deserves to be told -albeit brief- the story of some Ecuadorian women, because of their temperance and character, thrive in areas where, until recently, only men prevailed.

Pamela Castillo: She is 26 years old and inherited her grandfather’s vocation as a firefighter volunteer, that’s why the last three years she’s been part of the Meritorious Division of the Fire Department of Guayaquil.

Diana Carolina Grisales: Despite having a degree in Advertising and Marketing, Diana Carolina works as a taxi driver in the executive cab company named Fast Line. Has a professional license and sometimes she has to work up to eleven hours a day.

Rosario Sandoval: Is a lieutenant of the Transit Commission of Ecuador. She used to participates in speed control operations performed in the Francisco de Orellana and Av. Rosario, she says she wants to be promoted to Colonel.

Rosy Granja: Lieutenant Junior and helicopter pilot of the Naval Nation, becoming the first female driver in its history.

Martiza Anchundia: Works as an aquatic lifeguard for the Ecuadorian Red Cross since 1985. Furthermore she’s a fitness teacher and provides consulting services to those who request them.

Emily Chong-qui: Provides psychological assistance through telephone lines in the Citizen security Corporation of Guayaquil.

Tannya Varela:  She is one of the four National police colonels and commands the district of Guayaquil.

Andrea Hernandez: Is a Riot police. Only she and a colleague work together with 192 fellow men.

All these women are part of the group of female workers who have no Check hours or departure time, because for them serving the community comes first.
