Carlos Sevilla is the second coach to formally lead the military team this season, following the departure of Spanish DT Manuel Tomé who was fired after five consecutive defeats. He returned to take over the team last Saturday and fell 4-0 to Manta, which rushed the decision to hire the strategist from Imbabura.

“We decided on his experience, and talked (with Sevilla) about the emotional state of the team, the club present status and the creation of a template of players familiar to him. All that was analyzed in order to speed up the work” said the President Hugo Villacis Creole.

Sevilla, who was presented yesterday, acknowledged the bad  time of the military: “The team is in the relegation zone, we need to get out of that uncomfortable position. We will work because El Nacional needs to add training and matches to regain the level of previous years, “said the new coach.
