The German driver and three-time Formula One world champion, Sebastian Vettel beat his Red Bull teammate Australian MarkWebber on Sunday to win the Malaysian Grand Prix.

In the beginning of the race Vettel complained to team officials about the slow pace of Webber, alternating in the lead with the Australian for much of the race, their cars almost touched as the German took the lead on lap 46 to mark his 27th victory. Vettel subsequently apologized for ignoring the instructions of the team towards the end of the competition.

Despite his apology, Vettel left Webber very upset, the Australian refused to greet his teammate after the race. Webber explained that he slowed when he was at the top to relieve the pressure of his tires and engine when suddenly he was surppased by Vettel. When  asked if the dispute between the two had made him reconsider his role in Red Bull, the Australian said “a lot is going on through my mind.”

Vettel maintained that he did not realize his mistake until after the race. “Mark should have won,” he admitted and said that he will not commit such error again. Vettel won in 1 hour, 38 minutes and 56,681 seconds.
