North Korea denounces as ‘humiliating’ the dialogue with the U.S.
North Korea on Tuesday rejected a dialogue that they qualified as ‘humiliating’ with the United States and added that negotiations can only take if Washington abandons its policy ‘hostile’ and nuclear threats.
“We are not opposed to dialogue, but we can not sit face to face at the negotiating in a humiliating table while the other waves a nuclear club,” said a spokesman for the Foreign Ministry in a statement to the press.
“While the United States pursue its hostile policy and nuclear blackmail, there can only be a sincere dialogue when North Korea has a full list of its nuclear deterrence to prevent a nuclear war,” the spokesman added.
These responses arise following the invitation by the U.S. secretary of state John Kerry, to reduce tension on the Korean peninsula.
Moreover, China denied it was reinforcing its border with North Korea with troops and aircraft. “These reports are untrue,” said Yang Yujun, a spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Defense reports to previous weeks. Yang said China continues its attention to the development of the situation on the Korean peninsula.
