Elton John suspends tour due to an appendicitis

British singer Elton John had to cancel a concert in Hyde Park in London due to an appendicitis which will require surgery.
Through a statement, his publicist said that the musician had a swollen appendix and abscess around it; he is being treated with antibiotics and in the upcoming weeks he will have surgery.
The report indicates that John became ill during his recent European tour, but now he “looks forward to get back in perfect shape and play in the remaining concerts from early September of 2013.”
The artist, 66, had planned an outdoor concert last Friday in Hyde Park in London with the British singers Elvis Costello and Ray Davies. Also, he was performing in Italy, Germany and London within the next days, and also this month in Spain, France and Monaco, but has suspended all his shows.
