Yesterday the Dukes of Cambridge, William and Catherine were parents of a child, who rank third in the line of succession to the British crown.

Kensington Palace reported that the Duchess gave birth at the private room “Cute” St. Mary’s hospital in London.

The child is the couple’s first child, born at 09:24 in Ecuadorian time and weighed 8.6 pounds. His name might be George or James, this will be announced later.

Mother and son are fine, said the British Royal House in a press release and the news sent the crowd erupted in jubilation at the gates of St. Mary’s Hospital, where dozens of people and journalists awaited the news.
