Unofficial reports showed that deaths registered yesterday reached about 800 people, including women and children, mostly Muslims who support ousted President Morsi.

In Cairo, Alexandria and several major cities, Muslims did not respect the curfew and savaged Catholic churches, but were strongly repressed by forces loyal to the interim government, even in some mosques where they took refuge.

According to press reports from international agencies, civil armed personnel of both sides, opened fire on civilians, with no respect whatsoever, not even for children.

The international community has requested a cease-fire in Egypt and there is fear of triggering a civil war. Several countries have withdrawn their diplomatic missions in Cairo and the conflict has already affected the oil price hike.

Morsi's supporters keep burning Catholic churches and institutions.
