Garcia Marquez was discharged after his hospitalization

Nobel Laureate Gabriel Garcia Marquez left the hospital this Tuesday in Mexico City at which was entered on 31 March, in order to complete the recovery at his home, informed sources of the medical center where he was being treated.

The Colombian author, 87 years, was hospitalized with symptoms of dehydration and pulmonary and urinary tract infection process.

An ambulance from the Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition “Salvador Zubiran” where Garcia Marquez had been admitted went out the door eight in hospital at 15:47 Mexico local time.

Medical center spokeswoman, Jacqueline Pineda, confirmed that the hospital had discharged the writer and was being taken to his home in the south of the Mexican capital.
