The United States close anti-narcotics office in Quito

In the appeareance in court before the Subcommittee for Abroad Operations in the Lower Chamber, the Undersecretary of State for the fight against International Drug Trafficking, William R. Brownfield, announced that the Anti-Narcotis Office of Ecuador will be closed in September, months after the South American nation expeled the American military group.
The official said that the office had more than 30 years of operation in Ecuador .
Ecuador ordered to about 20 officials seconded to the Security Cooperation Office of the U.S. Embassy to leave the country before April 30.
