Players declare war to racism through campaign

Several players joined the campaign “Say No To Racism” (# SayNoToRacism), launched by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) to eradicate this problem in football.

Players like the English Steven Gerrard and Wayne Rooney, Dutchman Robin van Persie, Cameroon’s Samuel Eto’o, among others, already are part of the campaign.

The Ecuadorians Antonio Valencia and Michael Arroyo also joined the campaign appearing with a sign that says “# SayNoToRacism”.

On its website, FIFA said, “In the efforts to end racism, discrimination continues; it has been launched an interactive social media campaign to increase awareness of this serious problem”.

FIFA called on fans around the world to publish a photo in to show their support for the campaign.
