Clashes around indefinite reelection

pr02sq190614photo01Vinicio Alvarado, Minister of Public Administration, responded via Twitter to the CREO movement leader Guillermo Lasso who isagainst indefinite reelection in a tweet.

“Do not worry, you will be able to participate, but do not ask to win by (the) non-submission of the best evaluated President in all America,” Alvarado said in his Twitter account (@ vinizeta).

Lasso features first in a survey of voting intentions which ignores President Rafael Correa and was conducted by Cedatos. This company in its periodic work included the question: “If Rafael Correa is not submitted for re-election, and if the candidates were the following, whom would you vote for?”.

Ten nominations options of various trends and policy positions suggested by voters in exploratory stages of the national survey were given.

The first mention in this survey corresponds to Lasso with 22.6%; Vice President Jorge Glas followed with 17.6%; the Mayor of Quito, Mauricio Rodas, 15.6%; The Former Vice President Lenin Moreno, 13.3%; the Mayor of Guayaquil, Jaime Nebot, 6.2%; and Former President Lucio Gutierrez, 2.1%.
