Argentina criticizes on hedge funds

Argentina hardened the criticism against the speculative funds which won over them a trial in the U.S. by stating that “they are just extortionists” in a note by Finance Minister disclosed by President Cristina Fernández.

“Vulture funds are not victims, they are just extortionists” headlined the letter signed by the Minister Axel Kicillof, widespread by President Fernandez in Twitter.

Failing to reach an agreement, Argentina would run the risk of entering in a new suspension of payments when a grace period is met on July 30.
