Alianza País prepares new Labour Code

The government is working on a new version of the Labour Code, which would be submitted in October and approved by the National Assembly until the first quarter of 2015.

The Minister for Labour Relations Carlos Marx Carrasco said that after meeting with the Legislative Commission on Worker Rights this week, it was requested a space to show the results to the Coordinating Minister of Human Resource Richard Espinosa. The new project is expected to be presented to President Rafael Correa in mid-August, and between September and October,he decides when and how to refer the legislative initiative officially.
