CNE organizes workshop and collection of reforms to the Code of Democracy

The National Electoral Council (CNE for its Spanish acronym) will hold a workshop and the collection of reforms to the Code of Democracy, which will be subsequently proposed by the National Assembly.

This proposal aims to cover some legal gaps, so that a commission in charge of preparing the reforms will collect the possible proposals for electoral operators, who are involved in the different phases of the electoral process.

Similarly, the first workshop will be conducted to study the possible reforms to submit, with bases on all accumulated experiences in the electoral processes of 2013 and 2014 .

Among the points to be reformed are: registration of political organizations and candidates, electoral challenges and resources, declaration of invalidity of electoral processes and electoral competitions.
