European Commission sends bill to expand preferences for Ecuadorian goods

The European Commission sent to Parliament block a proposal of legal regulation on the rates applied to goods originated in Ecuador.
This regulation proposes to temporarily maintain the current level rates. The GSP+ that grant bilateral tariff benefits expire on December 31, 2014, because of that it is proposed this regulation until the new commercial agreement takes effect.
If approved by legislators, this would apply from the 1st of January and will run until the trade agreement of the European Union enters into force.
