Land Draft Law will be presented to Cotopaxi people

The Rural Land and Ancestral Territories Draft Law will be subjected to consultation and national meetings, prior to the analysis of various social organizations. Civil society will know the contents of the 59 pages approved by the Commission for Food Sovereignty of the National Assembly on October 2.

César Umajinga, Legislator of the Commission, announced that on October 13 it is planned to develop a meeting to explain the scopes of the standard to the people of Cotopaxi.

For him, it is necessary to work on issues such as the large estates and smallholdings and that villagers also know the inherent provisions of the territories on the use of thewasteland, on productive family units, among others. For this, they aim to have from 400 to 500 delegates in this socialization.
