$ 20 bills shall hereafter be issued with data

The Internal Revenue Service (SRI by its Spanish acronym) said yesterday that from this month taxpayers who issue invoices from USD 20 shall compulsorily fill the customer´s data (name or business name and identification number or RUC).

Previously, the amount from which this information had to be filled was USD 200.

The arrangement is stated in the Executive Decree 539, published in Official Register 407 of December 31, 2014.

It was further explained that additional information (address and contact information) is essential only for purchase settlement.
