Pinoargote responds again to SUPERCOM TV address

A second TV address of the Secom, on the subject of statements made by the Vice President of the National Union of Educators (UNE), Sisa Pacari, on Millennium Schools, also received a second response from the journalist Alfredo Pinoargote, of the Ecuavisa TV channel. This time the Secom reacted because Pinoargote in his commentary yesterday said that neither sympathizers and wage earners of the government will give lessons in journalism.

For its reply, the National Communications Secretariat (Secom), presented in its television address the Colombian-Ecuadorian journalist, Omar Ospina, who was offended by the “wage earners of the Government”commentary, and said he was not a Correist but said he was “a friend of the process of change in Latin America.”

“Nobody pays me. I do not live off what I write, nor of what I say, I do not live off my opinions unlike former ambassador (Alfredo) Pinoargote who lives off his work as a news anchor,” said Ospina.

In response, Pinoargote said: “according to the editorial line of Contacto Directo we do not fall into provocations that keep us from our primary task. In addition, because these provocations are part of a communication policy aimed at misinforming, defocusing the citizenship from substantive issues. Which in this case is not the interview to vice president of the UNE but the insertion of Millennium Units in the Amazon jungle, a totally different habitat from cities or rural zones of the coast and the Sierra. That’s what four representatives of indigenous communities in the Amazon have statedin this program, but the answer is to tell them they do not know what they want when the reality indicates that for small communities scattered in the jungle, without roads, the magnificent Millennium Units are not viable and tend to displace communities from their ancestral territories.”
