In the country, the economic recession has not halted the solidarity private companies have proven to have. The presence of the private sector has been evident not only trough the donation of money or products, but through proposals that seek to help the earthquake victims.

One of the first companies to manifest was Corporation Favorita, with the donation of $ 4’500.000, of which it was explained that $ 2,500,000 would cover emerging needs, supplies and services; and $ 2,000,000 to promote the creation of a fund for economic recovery in the country.

Other initiatives came from DIFARE group, a company that in addition to helping with the supply of pharmaceutical produts, created the crusade ‘#UnidosYSolidarios (#UnitedAndSolidary), that encourages the national and international community to support with funds to purchase medicines, diapers and milk.
The aid is also directed to enhance the communication means of the victims and that is a job took over by telephone companies Movistar and Claro. Together they donated more than 2,000 call minutes and 2,000 SMS.
As the days pass, the needs increase and thus the collection is a task that intensifies. Firms such as Subway have put at the disposal 11 stores so that they serve as collection centers of different supplies and nonperishable food.
