“Opening hours will not be extended” said Ministry of Tourism

The Ministry of Tourism reported yesterday about a “mistake” of interpretation by this Ministry regarding the extension of the opening hours in entertainment centers. Yet the tourism sector, which applauded the measure that would help to regain sales and employment, believes that a solution can be achieved.

“Next week we will meet with the Minister (of Tourism) to analyze the situation,” said Holbach Muneton, president of the Provincial Chamber of Tourism. “We will return to the previous opening hours,” he said, excepting Sundays.

Tuesday the government announced new opening hours in bars, nightclubs and other night entertainment centers for adults, which initially could sell alcoholic beverages, Monday through Thursday from 12:00 to 01:00; Fridays and Saturdays from 12:00 to 04:00. Opening hours depended on the characteristics of the entertainment places. Memes in social networks did not wait.
