6.8 magnitude earthquake was felt in Ecuador this morning

A new aftershock occurs almost nine hours after the one recorded in early hours at 02:57, which had a 6.8 magnitude, and a 14.68 km deep.

This morning´s eartquake  occurred at 11:46 at a depth of 6.20 km in the province of Esmeraldas, the Geophysics Institute reported.

The earthquake of early morning and this morning are the strongest aftershocks after the earthquake recorded a month ago.
