The adjustment to the deduction of expenses that will lead to an increase in the payment of the income tax will impact 50,000 taxpayers who work in a dependency relationship. The figure was announced yesterday, Monday, November 6, by the director of the Internal Revenue Service Leonardo Orlando, who said that “the government prioritized not to affect the great majority, but to think about the people with a greater financial capacity to make an additional effort.”

Orlando reiterated that the measures do not constitute an economic package. The bill, which is under the Legislature analysis from Wednesday, November 1, proposes that for those who earn more than USD 3,000 a month, the Income-tax deduction will be according to the number of family burdens. (I)
