The capital of the Republic is nominated, once again, to the World Travel Awards (WTA), prizes known as the “Oscars of tourism”. The city will participate in 16 categories, including South America’s Leading Destination, a recognition it has obtained over the past five years.
Another of the categories in which it also appears is Destination Leader of Meetings and Conferences of South America, a prize that it won for the first time in 2017 and with which it seeks to maintain leadership in this segment.
Additionally, Mariscal Sucre International Airport is nominated for recognition as the leading aerodrome of the subregion. The infrastructure has already received the award for the previous three years. The award ceremony for the World Travel Awards Latin America will be held on September 15 at the Palacio de Cristal, in Guayaquil. (I)
