Ecuador, one of the most economical destinations for 2019, according to Lonely Planet

The specialized tourist guide Lonely Planet presented this October 23rd of 2018 the annual list ‘Best in travel 2019’ in which highlights recommended destinations for travelers according to various criteria.

In the section of places “made for affordable adventures” appears Ecuador. The country occupies the ninth position of the Best Value category in the ‘Best in travel 2019’ list. The website of Lonely Planet highlights that Ecuador is the destination for those interested in seeing “the best of South America in a short time”.

The first position on this list is occupied by the South Nile Valley in Egypt. It is followed by the city of Łódź in Poland, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in the United States, Maldives, Houston, Argentina, Bangladesh, Albania, Ecuador and Slovenia.

The tourist guide emphasizes that in Ecuador you can see “the Andean landscapes, the colorful colonial cities, the Amazon and the waves of the Pacific Ocean”. He adds that it is difficult for any destination in the country to be more than half a day away.

In addition, according to Lonely Planet, Ecuador “is home to one of the best beach scenes in South America in the towns located north of the city of Guayaquil.”

He adds that although there are some beaches that are changing rapidly, places like Canoa and Mompiche “are places where you can find a place next to the beach to rest” for only a few dollars per night.”
