Assembly members and various representatives of social and political organizations gathered on the night of April 30 in the National Assembly to discuss political violence as a tool to discourage women from participating in the public sphere and the charges of decision making “Women are observed more, they demand double and they forgive us less than half.

Also, Elizabeth Cabezas, president of the National Assembly, participated in the dialogue and emphasized that this problem is “A terrible practice that is protected by anonymity, which allows social networks to insult, give qualifiers, denigrate without any type of responsibility,” he stresses.

At the end of the event, an agreement was signed to eliminate violence against women in political spaces. (I)
