Minister of Government met with the president of the National Assembly

This Thursday morning, February 16, 2023, the Minister of Government, Henry Cucalón, met with the President of the National Assembly, Virgilio Saquicela, with the intention of “strengthening institutional relations.”
Upon leaving, the official pointed out that the country needs its authorities to work together and stressed that “institutions and democracy are above the interests of the people.”
“I have no problem meeting with the Legislature without prejudice to the presentation of our project. Hopefully, we can also find points in common because what interests people is that there are legal tools that favor the generation of employment”, Cucalón emphasized.
To representatives of the media, the official assured that the country needs its authorities to work together.
Prior to this, the Minister of Government held a meeting with elected mayors and presidents of Pastaza Parish Councils, in order to listen to the needs and add government efforts for the benefit of citizens.
