A $ 10 contribution will be added to the airfares with destination to Ecuador

The Ministry of Tourism updated the values of the Ecodelta contribution and created a minimum contribution called Touristic Power (Potencia Turística, for its Spanish name), which will be collected through the sale of air tickets.

The State indicated that the Ecodelta contribution, in force since 2009 for tickets that are issued from Ecuador outward, is increased from $ 5 to $ 20 and seeks to promote the destiny Ecuador in a sustained manner.

The contributions of Touristic Power, will govern from next March 1. This will be a contribution of $ 10 per every air ticket that is issued abroad with destination to Ecuador, which represents less than 1% of the cost of the ticket and will improve the country’s tourism infrastructure such as roads and airports.
