A strategy to eradicate sexual violence in schools

Posted On 07 Nov 2017

Ecuadornews:

President Lenin Moreno held a meeting at the Government Palace, with representatives of ministries and other State agencies, with the aim of implementing a strategy that guarantees the eradication of all types of violence, including sexual violence, in schools.

Moreno said that this problem “has terrified thousands of children and their parents,” so they now fear to send their children to school. In this context, he announced that the Ministry of Education will immediately implement the “More United More Protected” program that seeks to create a common front of families and authorities, to prevent cases of sexual abuse. “If the children are united, if the parents are united, rapists and stalkers will definitely feel cornered. Not a single more abused child,” emphasized the President. (I)
