The negotiating team of the European Union (EU), would be prepared to address with Ecuador ultimate details that have not allowed the commercial deal to be closed. This, after rounds of negotiations held in the recent weeks, said community sources to the international media.
Friday was expected to be the last day of negotiations; nevertheless, it was impossible to resolve the specific issues on public procurement and procedures for imports of community assets in the country. The Ecuadorian bananas, also, would have been one of the points unresolved. Ecuadorian negotiators returned to Quito for “internal consultations”, but will return to Brussels next week, EU spokesmen reported to EFE agency.
