Ecuadornews:
Upon his return after 20 years as a political asylee in Panama, former Ecuadorian President Abdalla Bucaram will demand the state for a compensation.
The reason? To build a social work for poor people in Esmeraldas and some provinces, the amount? 200 million dollars. Bucaram is the only politician in the world with a 20 years arrest warrant.
His return is now a reality after the National Court of Justice solved the prescription of the judgments for mismanagement of public funds.
Through Skype at the office of his lawyer Luigi Garcia in Quito, Bucaram said he will arrive in Guayaquil this Saturday and then get to the suburb by helicopter, where some 400,000 people will be waiting for him.
Today he reiterated that he will submit two requests to President Lenin Moreno: the elimination of the Council on Citizen Participation and Social Control (Cpccs) and the Communication Act (I).
